The Aquaculture Pioneers Program is kicking off its 2nd year to support the growth of Maine’s aquaculture industry and continue to cultivate talent in this important sector. In 2022 the program hosted 10 interns across 9 farms. In 2023 we are expanding the program to host 20 interns across 20 Maine farms.
We are looking for interested aquaculture employers across the downcast, midcoast, and southern coastal regions to join our program and host a farm or hatchery summer intern. Employers who host an intern for the summer will receive a stipend from Educate Maine to offset costs for the associated intern.
