Through generous donations we have been able to expand our Equity in Internships program to give up to 20 stipends of $1,000 this summer! The Equity in Internships Program (EQUIP) supports racial equity and increases experiential learning opportunities for black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) students facing financial barriers. With this additional funding we have been able to expand our reach for student needs and the program is now available to BIPOC students interested in building skills relevant to FocusMaine’s signature sectors (aquaculture, life sciences, and the food economy) from accounting to marine science. We are thrilled to be able to make this change and expand our reach. If you or someone you know is interested in applying or learning more, look at the links below. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 21, 2021.
